Introduction

Neemrana Fort Palace located at a distance of about 80 km from the centre of Alwar city is one of India’s oldest heritage resorts. Neemrana was named after a local chieftain Nimola Meo. The story goes that after this brave tribal chief was defeated by the Chauhans he requested them to name his lost kingdom after him. The Chauhans made Neemrana their third capital.
The Neemrana Fort Palace covers an area of about 25 acres. It rises to 10 levels and this is why it commands an excellent view of the surroundings. The architecture of this hotel is well worth having a look.

Accommodation

There are a total of 42 rooms in Neemrana Fort Palace. What is interesting is that each of these rooms is categorized as Sheesh Mahal, Surya Mahal, Barsat Mahal and Chand Mahal. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and suitably adorned with furniture that is reminiscent of the colonial era. Traditional Indian furniture is also to be found in these rooms which are meant to provide you with all sorts of comfort. Most of the rooms either have a balcony or a terrace attached to them. It needs to be mentioned that each of the rooms have a bathroom attached to them and they have been so designed as to offer splendid views. Since this is not a modern hotel you will not get televisions, phones or internet connections in the rooms.

Dining

The food offered at the restaurant of the Neemrana Fort Palace is largely traditional Rajasthani cuisine. Continental food is also served. A coffee shop is also there in this hotel.
