Hammir Wildlife Resort

Hammir Wildlife Resort

The resort derives its name from the Hindu ruler Hammirof Rajasthan. The location is just 180 km from Jaipur and almost adjacent to the National Park. The National Park is the endeavor of the Government to secure the lives of the feral beings that were in danger by the poachers who constantly threatened their survival.
So, in order to ensure safe breeding ground for the tigers and the other wild animals that was on the verge of extinction. One can only apply the theory of Darwin if there be no intelligent and weak animal like human and in the process of struggle for existence, the fittest survived. In the struggle that ensued, the fittest was perhaps the more intelligent ones; the human being for example, who in the attempt to display courage and boldness, constantly killed the wild ferocious animals.
The fatal consequence was that, in course of time the beautiful wild beings were mislaid and the Government had to shoulder the responsibility to replete the loss incurred by the Maharajas of Jaipur and the British soldiers of India. So, the sanctuary was developed which was at a later changed into a National Park once the scarcity period was over. The difference between a Sanctuary and a National Park is that, in the former the visitors are not allowed while in the later the visitors are allowed but the permission to slay the wild beasts is not given.
