Government Museum: It has perhaps the finest collection of Rajput & Mughal paintings of the 18th & 19th Centuries and some ancient and rare manuscripts in Persian, Arabic, Urdu & Sanskrit. Some of the important manuscripts preserved here are - ” Gulistan” (the garden of roses), “Waqiate Babri “(autobiography of the Mughal emperor, Babar) and ‘Bosten’ (Poems). There is also a copy of ‘Mahabharata’, the great Indianepic, painted by the artists of the Alwar School.

The armoury section has a good collection of arms. This section also has some historic swords, including those belonging to Mohammed Ghori as well as the Mughal emperors Akbar and Aurangzed.
